Assumption of risk

Grills are gas-burning, high-temperature appliances. Cleaning, restoration, and parts service involve inherent risks including fire, burns, gas leaks, sharp edges, chemical exposure, and damage to corroded or aged components. By scheduling service you acknowledge these risks.

Pre-existing conditions

Older grills often contain rusted fasteners, brittle igniters, and degraded gas fittings that can fail during normal disassembly. We are not responsible for damage to components that were already at the end of their service life. We will photograph and report any such damage we discover.

Gas connections

We test and reseat gas connections as part of restoration. If we identify a leak we will shut off the gas supply, tag the grill, and recommend a licensed plumber for repairs that require a permitted gas line. We do not perform work on permanent gas piping.

Post-service use

After service, perform a leak check (soapy water on connections), confirm the burners ignite smoothly, and visually inspect for unusual flame patterns before cooking. Do not operate the grill if anything looks or smells wrong call us first.

No warranty on equipment

We provide a workmanship guarantee on our labor (see Service Agreement §7). We do not warrant the grill itself, replacement parts you supplied, or the future performance of any component.

Release

To the maximum extent permitted by Illinois law, you release Campbell Grill Detail and its owner from claims for injury or property damage arising from the inherent risks described above, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. This release does not waive any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
